trumpet in Miller’s Orchestra under the direction of Ray McKinley, for three-and-a-half years, touring the country and performing on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.” He then led the Dick Gable All-Stars, a Raleigh Dixieland jazz band, for over twenty-five years.
