Chartered on October 2, 1908, The Professional Musicians' Association Local 500 of the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) is an organized group of professional musicians in central and eastern North Carolina. We work to improve the livelihoods of working professional musicians through organization, communication, and collective action.
Our jurisdiction includes all of the following counties: Bladen, Brunswick, Carteret, Chatham, Columbus, Craven, Cumberland, Duplin, Durham, Edgecombe, Franklin, Granville, Greene, Halifax, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Jones, Lee, Lenoir, Nash, New Hanover, Northampton, Onslow, Orange, Pamlico, Pender, Pitt, Robeson, Sampson, Scotland, Vance, Wake, Warren, Wayne, Wilson. The part of Beaufort County as follows: Aurora , Chocowinity, Edward, Richland, and South Creek.
