Elections InfoAFM Local 500 Elections - Updated April 1, 2021
At the March 14 General Membership Meeting, members approved bylaws changes that affect the elections process. These updates are to comply with the Department of Labor. The updated process was outlined in the January membership newsletter. Please review the process below and email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
March 14, 2021 - President names an Election Committee Chair - Natalie named Zach Hobin to be Election Committee Chair at the March 14 General Membership Meeting
April 25, 2021 - A Nominations Meeting will take place on Sunday, April 25 at 8pm. Meeting information will be sent via email prior to the meeting.
May 2021 - Elections! If a ballot vote is required, the Election Committee will send out the ballots and check the Election PO Box on the appointed day and time of the election.
June 2021 - New Officers & Board Members are installed!
Offices & Positions Open During this Election + More Information
Per our bylaws, elections are held every other year and all offices and board member positions are open. Each term is two years. The offices and board member positions are:
- President / Second delegate to conferences and conventions
- Vice President
- Secretary-Treasurer / First delegate to conferences and conventions
- 4-6 At-Large Board Member positions
