New members need to pay a $65 Federal initiation fee and a $20 Local initiation fee. The Federal fee does not apply to anyone transferring from another Local.
For your convenience and security, new accounts are billed as an automatically recurring subscription through Stripe. If you prefer to pay by check or cash, or if you are transferring from another Local and therefore exempt from the Federal initiation fee, please send us a message.
Student members pay no initiation fees and reduced yearly dues.
Life Membership is for any musician at least 65 years old who has been an AFM member for at least 30 years.
